David offers unique experience in communications and organizational strategy for purpose-driven partners.

For nearly a decade, David drove integrated marketing and communications at The State University of New York, the largest higher education system in the United States. He successfully implemented a new brand across 64 campuses, helping to establish the system and its chancellor as national thought leaders. While at SUNY, David maintained a wide-ranging portfolio including media and government relations, marketing, social media, executive speechwriting, crisis communications, alumni engagement, student leadership, and supporting the Board of Trustees.

He then joined The Fund for Public Schools at the NYC Department of Education, where he built a newly created communications department from the ground up. David was responsible for developing and implementing strategies for fundraising, donor engagement, content creation, partner relations, reporting for the Board of Directors, and liaising with City Hall.

Before founding Good Rebellion, David was managing director at a branding agency in downtown Manhattan where he oversaw both client strategy and growth.

He has been recognized as a Trailblazer in Higher Education by City & State Magazine, a Power Player in Education by amNY, a Notable LGBTQ Leader by Crain’s Business, and with the Young Alumnus in Public Administration Award from SUNY’s Rockefeller College.

David also serves as chief strategic advisor to the National Association of Higher Education Systems, chair of the communications committee of the BBYO Alumni Council, vice president of strategy for the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Democratic Club, and on the leadership council of the Binghamton University Q Alumni Network. He is often asked to speak at national and regional conferences and webinars, including the American Association of State Colleges & Universities, Association of American Universities, National Higher Education Teaching Conference, and the SUNY Council for University Advancement, and provides commentary to major networks such as CBS News.

A native New Yorker, David was born and raised in Queens, and now lives in Brooklyn. He attended NYC public schools, earned a BA in Political Science from Binghamton University, and his MPA from the University at Albany.

After working as a school psychologist for the past decade, Alana is excited to take on her next career adventure with Good Rebellion as their Director of Operations.

During her time in education, Alana thrived on team collaboration to help deliver data driven results for students. Her strong organizational and interpersonal skills enabled her to handle a heavy caseload while meeting deadlines and keeping other team members on task to complete projects. Alana is eager to put these skills to use for Good Rebellion's clients.

Alana is a native of Queens, and after obtaining her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Maryland, she returned home to earn her master's degree at Queens College. She spent the past 10 years living in Manhattan, and recently moved to Long Island with her husband and son. In her free time Alana enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trying new restaurants, and her guilty pleasure of watching Bravo.

Tracy is a producer, strategist, and writer with years in both entertainment and higher education. She has spent her career mastering the balance between the creative and the administrative. A true multitasker, her eye is both on the nitty gritty and the big picture.

She's produced the Webby nominated Logo/Paramount series, Spill with Johnny Sibilly. She also produced, directed, and co-wrote Beyond with Mike Kelton, an independent comedy docu-podcast named "Best Binge" by Vulture.

As a former Executive Producer at the Forever Dog Podcast Network, Tracy produced over twenty podcasts, both audio and video, with stars from SNL, The Bear, Hacks, The View, and Love Island. For television, she produced In Pursuit with John Walsh: Hot on the Trail and in the live mobile video space, she was a Showrunner for the Airtime App's network, Airtime Now, which featured 30 live shows on a weekly basis. She's also created content for outlets including The New Yorker, WhoHaha, Reductress, PureWow, RachaelRayShow.com, Hellofresh, UPS, and IBM.

A proud SUNY New Paltz alum, she was formerly the Coordinator for Alumni Relations and University Advancement for the State University of New York. She supported the Advancement and Alumni Relations departments for the 64 SUNY campuses, expanded system fundraising, and implemented system-wide goals under the office of Chancellor Nancy Zimpher.

Tracy is from/lives/loves Queens. She's also a comedian who has performed all over the city and a home cook who thinks a perfect Saturday is heading to a new neighborhood to check out its supermarkets.

Brendan is a political strategist and government prodigy. He didn't so much choose the desire to be in the arena as it was passed down to him like a family heirloom. Helping others was just the norm.

Straight out of college, Brendan entered the world of campaigning. He was crisscrossing the United States, working with candidates including a national race, and helping to drive issue-based causes. After many election cycles, and a brief stop working in higher education, he landed at a solar company leading marketing and outreach.  

In his free time, Brendan is involved with local politics, having served as president of a local political organization, and becoming a go-to asset on many local races. Success for his local party led him to join the staff of an elected official running communications for an office representing over a million people.

"Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can." That is the philosophy Brendan had passed down to him, and that is what drew him to Good Rebellion and its purpose-driven mission.

A native of Westchester County, Brendan is a public school graduate and studied Political Science at Binghamton University (yes he knew David), "enjoys" being disappointed by his favorite professional sports teams, and is a fan of everything food-related.

Adam is our Senior Designer, bringing his passion for crafting visual voices and identities to Good Rebellion. With years of experience at small agencies and tech startups, he’s ready to elevate our creative game.

A proud native New Yorker, Adam has strong opinions on bagels, pedestrian etiquette, and the New York Yankees. When he’s not designing, you might find him playing music, managing his rec softball team, or helping musicians build their brands.

With his background in immigration and political philosophy, and a passion for making a difference, Luc is excited to contribute to the team at Good Rebellion.

Luc most recently worked as a Lead Project Coordinator for the NASH Training Individuals for Economic Readiness. His work ensured critical resources reached newcomers efficiently and effectively. With a talent for organization and a love for collaboration, Luc thrives on creating systems that empower communities and make lasting change.

Originally from Arkansas, Luc is a proud Concordia University alum and now lives in Connecticut. When he’s not working, Luc enjoys running, experimenting with new recipes, playing Magic: The Gathering, and championing New Haven pizza as the best in America. He’s also preparing to pursue a career in immigration or constitutional law, driven by his commitment to justice and helping others.

Sophia is thrilled to join Good Rebellion as a Technology Analyst, where she looks forward to combining her technical skills with a people-first mindset.

She studied Computer Science and Sociology at Colgate University and is passionate about ethical tech and designing systems that work better for everyone.

Sophia has built experience through internships in client success, data science, and global health, always looking for ways to make technology more thoughtful and impactful.

Originally from Boston, she enjoys baking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family outside of work.  

Julie is our Designer and Social Media Associate, coming in with experiences in non-profit work, small agencies, and b2b product design. She brings her affinity for bold visual identities, storytelling, and data-driven results to Good Rebellion.

She is currently balancing design work for Atutu, a non-profit providing solar energy to off-grid, marginalized communities. Earlier this year, she led an earthquake-response campaign, resulting in the funding and completion of solar installations at 11 emergency-response sites for earthquake victims in Myanmar. She is excited to continue driving impact and working on versatile projects with Good Rebellion and its clients.

Originally from Los Angeles, she is thrilled to enter another year of living in Brooklyn. Outside of digital design, you can find her nose deep in a knitting project, playing music and producing demos, or mass producing her favorite desserts (eclairs, crepes, flourless chocolate walnut cookies).

Heather is an event planner, crisis manager, and volunteer engagement expert, consulting with the Good Rebellion team!

For over a decade Heather has worked in nonprofits across the country developing and managing volunteer driven programs combatting poverty, beautifying public spaces, and creating connection among New Yorkers. She specializes in spinning up large-scale, people fueled operations. In 2020 she led the largest civilian response to COVID in NYC, leading the city’s management of spontaneous volunteers, delivering over 25 million meals to New Yorkers in 6 months with the team at New York Cares.

Heather is a native New Yorker, now living in the Bronx. She attended NYC public schools, earned a duel BA in Social & Behavioral Sciences and Spanish, and an MPA, both from Seton Hall University. Go Pirates. In her free time you’ll find her checking out NYC parks, snuggling her cats, and cooking tasty things.
